I get quite a regular amount of work designing and coding myspaces. It’s a nice little pocket money earner.
I think the concept of bands producing bespoke Myspace designs is HIGHLY underrated, and I’m not just saying that in the vain hope that business increases…
With so much of the music industry going digital these days, showcasing band’s artwork is becoming harder and harder.
I still get excited when I get a new CD; to open it up and flick through the booklet to exam layouts, pictures, lyrics, hidden messages etc…
But with the times moving forward, faster and faster, and Apple raping the industry from the inside out, I fear the way of Artwork may become an endangered species.
I think most Artists will agree that work is definitely slowing down in the Music industry, with only occasional logos, posters or the aforementioned Myspace.
Luckily, there are still some out there like Motive Sounds, who strive to beat the system and create truly mouth watering artwork for their bands.
So with my short rant over, I’ll now plug my business: Papertank Myspace Designs
*Papertank is an old collective I belong to. The other esteemed members including Aberdonia’s own Joanne k. Dodd and Flash Grand Master Liam Peterson Rutherford
